The Family of Solomon D. Tickle

Solomon D. Tickle was born in North Carolina about 1831. On April 16, 1862 he enlisted in Captain Gott's Company for the duration of the Civil War. He died in a military hospital at Sulphur Springs, Virginia of fever on October 10, 1862. On July 19, 1853, at age of 22, he married Frances Catherine Hunt in Giles County, Virginia. They were the parents of;

Stephen M. Tickle and John D. Tickle were twin brothers.
