MILITARY SERVICE
War of 1812
Private George Oxer of Lancaster County, Pennsyvania, served with in Capt. Thomas Hustons' Company in the Second Regiment, Second Brigade of the Pennsylvania Militia, under the command of Lieut Col John Lutz, at York, Pennyslvania. This company was in service from September 1, 1814 to March 1, 1815.
Private Jesse Kelly of Kentucky, second husband of Sarah Brown Auxier, died during the War of 1812. He left his widow, Sarah, and a small son, Joseph Robert Kelly.
Private William See of Kentucky enlisted in the War of 1812 on April 14, 1813 at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. He served in the 28th Regiment of U.S. Infantry under Capt. Henry Daniel. He died of sickness on October 20, 1813 at Elmira, Michigan soon after Perry's Victory on Lake Erie. William See was the husband of Elizabeth Auxier, the daughter of George Auxier and Dorcas Shelly.
Private Thomas Jefferson Auxier Sr. of Kentucky served in Capt. Francis A. Gaines Company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia, Colonel John Poage Commander. He mustered in, at Newport, Kentucky, on August 31, 1813. He was the son of Simon Auxier.
George Delong II of Kentucky served under General Harrison. He was the husband of
Mary Barbary Auxier, the daughter of Samuel Auxier I.
