Frances Amelia Auxier Hannah


Frances Amelia Auxier, commonly know as Fanny, was born in the year 1800. She married Samuel Hannah in Floyd county, Kentucky on April 27, 1820. Their home was at the Richmond place on Johns Creek. For a good many years, Fanny's mother, Sarah Brown Auxier made her home with them. Sarah had a little house built in the their yard, and here she would do her own cooking, although she was entirely blind. Aunt Fanny and Uncle Sam Hannah were good people and kind to the old mother. Frances Auxier Hannah died before the Civil War began.
