Frances Emily Auxier

Frances Emily Auxier was born in Floyd County, Kentucky in 1821. She married William J. Burchett in Floyd County, Kentucky on January 9, 1840. William was the son of Thomas Burchett and Milly Maynard Burchett. Emily was the only child of Daniel Auxier and Mary Virgin to remain in Kentucky. She and her husband farmed in Floyd County and for a while her Uncle Simon Auxier lived with them. Emily, her husband William, two of their sons and Simon Auxier are buried in the Hopson Cemetery over looking Auxier, Kentucky. Emily and William were the parents of:

1. Richard Landrum Burchett
2. Sarah M. Burchett who married James A. Musick
3. Daniel J. Burchett who died at the age of 37
4. William R. Burchett who died at the age of 27
