The Corn Stalk Militia

Ensign Michael Auxier served in the 56th Regiment of the Floyd County, Kentucky Militia as of December 1, 1803. At the close of the Revolutionary War, the British still remained in the Northwest, offering bounties for the scalps of Kentuckians. The Militia was on guard against hostile attacks.
